Gunlancer is a dps class just like the rest. Sorc and shadow hunter were amazing feeling when I tried in the RU servers. Like the screen just blows up playing sorc. Blade was really fun going in and out of combat. Gunlancer was fun being able to just face tank with your shield up and still do good damage and have cool abilities. Actually there are 7 sharpshooters in top 100 right now in KR. Seems to me like Paladin is the worst as there is only 1 paladin in the top 100. They are the most annoying class to deal with. "You don't play games to win, you play games so you can make you're opponents rage quit". DBZ inspired class after all. So try to level it up to 50, nothing is flashier in this game. I feel like I'm playing a Bayonetta/DMC type of game where I try to go for the most stylish kills possible without letting the enemies touch the ground. Striker and wardancer are classes that require huge amount of stats with wealth runes, cooldown gems, lot of tripods for more elemental generation and specialisation etc. I'm a striker 1080 and I can finally start doing combo without being out of cooldown and making it feel very active. Don't give up !An important thing to remember is that gunlancer scales extremely well with engravings, especially blue lancer - since your shield is basically always up (if you have specialization & time your shout right) a lot of the negatives to engravings are basically negligible. It is slow to level up and the class doesn't get fluid till t3.Most fun: gunslinger, igniter sorc is really fun on fights that aren't dogshit for it, RE deathblade is fun even if it isn't quite as strong as Surge, artist has been a lot of fun. Least fun: RS soulfist, paladin is kinda boring, Surge has fights that are insanely annoying even if the spec in general is pretty fun.Short answer: Pick what you like. there is no useless or hated class in the game. Anything you pick you will be able to play any content the game offers. No one is going to reject you in a party just because of your class.
