Dodge durango intermittent starting problem

2002 Durango big v-8. intermittent starting problem. with key on not engaging the starter if the gauges light up it will start. If the gages don't light up it will not. I started it drove several miles while sitting in a parking lot it just quit. Same problem no gages will crank but no start.

1) Do the fabled Start Up , Start Down x2 Reset to see if that works (read that somewhere on this forum) 2) Maybe use my ODBC scanner to see if any codes are coming up. 3) Look and wiggle some wires behind the steering wheel column where the remote starter should be. 4) Battery Hard Reset. Try priming it by pressing the start button with no brake for a few seconds. Then if it starts with the brake / Start button then it's the fuel pump not holding it's pressure.
